An update from Evie about today’s group. Thanks Evie!
Even the bad weather doesn’t seem to have had too bad an effect on our members’ enthusiasm in attendance. Today was a very interesting morning which Bill Douglas organised, with Alison talking about Carol Ann Duffy, Angus on Scots song lyrics, and Jack on McGonagall. After a very wholesome ‘breakfast’ of oatcakes & cheese, shortbread etc, and teas, coffees, juices, Rose talked about Liz Lochhead, Tony about a lesser-known Dundee poet WN Herbert and finally Bill himself enlightened us about Kenneth White – now living in France, but brought up in Fairlie.
